In August 2016, I had the privilege of working with inclusive music charity Joy of Sound as librettist and vocal coach on their operetta, Fragile. In this devised piece, participants examined their experiences of impairment – psychological, physical and social – through movement, vocal experimentation and sound. One audience member fed back:
The piece was very moving and highlighted the different emotions and feelings that human begins experience and how these emotions can over take us and make us feel trapped. I also liked the fact that it touched on how the creative arts can help to release these emotions and unite one another by creating.
